Step-by-Step Guide

From registration to your first playdate – how to use spielmit.eu.

Step 1

Register & Set Up Your Profile

Create a free account with your email address or Google account. Choose a display name – this is visible to other parents in your group. After registration you are guided directly to the next step.

Tip: A Google account makes sign-in extra fast – no new password needed.

Step 2

Add a Child

Create a profile for each of your children. Choose an emoji avatar (no real photo – for privacy!), enter the first name and birth year, and add interests – e.g. football, painting or Lego.

Tip: Interests help later when suggesting suitable activities for playdates.

Step 3

Create or Join a Group

Play groups connect you with other parents from the same class, kindergarten or neighbourhood. Create a new group and invite other parents via an invitation link – or join an existing group by opening an invitation link.

Create a group: enter a name, create the group, copy the link and send it to other parents.

Join a group: open the invitation link, log in or register – done.

Step 4

Add Availability

Enter when each child is available to play. The weekly plan shows regular times (e.g. Monday to Friday 2–5 pm). Exceptions like holidays or doctor appointments can be added as day overrides.

Tip: Open the child's profile and tap 'Edit Availability' – or go directly via Settings → Children.

Step 5

Find a Playmate & Make Plans

In the Playmate Finder you can see all children from your groups along with their free time slots. Tap a time slot to suggest a playdate directly. The other family is notified immediately and can accept or decline.

Quick request ⚡: Ask multiple families at once. The first to accept wins – all others are automatically withdrawn.

Tip

1:1 Connection via Play Card

Does your child know another child from the playground, school or club who is not in your group yet? Print a personal play card with a QR code and give it to the other child. Once the parents scan the code and register, the children are directly connected — without a group invitation.

Print play card: open child profile → section 'Connections' → 'Print card'.

After scanning: log in or register → select child → tap 'Connect'.

Install as an App

On Android, spielmit.eu is available on the Google Play Store. On iPhone and iPad, the app can be installed directly via Safari on the home screen. In both cases you receive push notifications for new requests and messages.
